Collection contains more than 7,000 works of modern and contemporary art from the 20th century and 21. However, the most unique of this museum is a small house that lodged in the upper end of the building.
This house is an installation created by artist Erwin Wurm in 2008, titled “House Attack”. As per the title of this family home was like being thrown or dropped until caught and perched on the facade of the museum.
Erwin Wurm is known for his unusual, eccentric, sometimes humorous and confusing. “House Attack” can be put into a category two. “House Attack” is a piece of modern art that first time you look at this museum before looking inside. In it alone you can see various works of art from various genres such as cubism, surrealism to pop art.
According to Wurm, home installations are mounted hanging upside down symbolizes family in the world that ‘jump’ in the concerns and challenges of everyday life. He was pleased to lift the simple concept then add physical deformations in his work.
The technical goal of this project is to inspire architects around the world to design architectural thinking things through, which is free and not bound by the limits of “normal”. The building is also known to be the most unusual landmarks representing contemporary art.
