London Design Festival – to promote London as a City of design in the World. The annual event, the London Design Festival will again be held on September 17 to 25 next. One of the landmark project is a tunnel shaped like a smile that was designed by architect Alison Brooks and the American Hardwood Export Council. This installation aims to demonstrate the potential of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and will be used to create a tunnel-shaped arch which only touch the ground on one side and open at the end. Tunnel will be equipped with many holes on both sides that allow sunlight during the day and illuminate the outdoor area at night.
Landmark project both from the architectural studio from London, dRMM will also use CLT and will consist of a series of box-shaped structure. Named, Baboushka Boxes, this installation is designed to raise the topic of housing and the future where humans live. The issue of this house will also be lifted by the installation of MINI Living.
Landmark other projects, Crazy Golf, designed by architects and designers such as Tom Dixon, Paul Smith, and Zaha Hadid. This installation will be placed in Trafalgar Square in London.
